Artfestation

Introduction

artfestation - as in infestation - overrun to an unwanted degree or in a troublesome manner.

Artfestations are short term events held in empty or near empty houses or buildings. They take advantage of brief periods when the structure is not in use. The spaces are of particular attraction to installation artists, giving them an opportunity to work in a larger space.

Artfestation.org is an area to talk about how to put an Artfestation on, document Artfestations that have occurred and trade ideas on short term art display events.
